Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I know, it's a double-post day.

This morning, well at noon, I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  For the Harry Potter fans, they'd refer to it as HP5 or use some other abbreviation.  I'm curious how many different directors there have been because this one seemed "brighter" even though the subject matter was "darker".  Could I be more vague? Most likely!

Okay, as much as I'd like to put the word "spoiler" in big, bold letters, I'm sure by now you know what's about to come.  After all, if you've read the book I can't be spoiling too much.

This movie was two hours and eighteen minutes long, but this book was really long. Naturally, the movie cut out parts of the book.  Sadly, it cut out a lot of parts that could have made this movie so much better.  It's a good thing that I didn't read the book right before this movie came out because I'd be disappointed.  Because so much was not included in HP 5 I can hardly remember what was in the book or not.  There were characters that were present but not introduced properly.  They played much bigger roles in the book.  Luna Lovegood played a bigger role in the movie. The namesake of the book
and movie, The Order of the Phoenix, didn't have enough air time.

I liked the movie.  I liked it simply because I am a fan and I always look forward to how someone is going to interpret the descriptions from the book.  I wish this movie had been more complete.

I'm trying to separate the series of books from the movies in my mind because they're obviously going to have differences.

Until the next movie or event, later!
